As someone who uses powders to boost their protein intake, the usual shakes can get boring pretty quickly.
Whether you’re into fitness and nutrition, or you’re vegan and find it hard to get enough protein from other food sources, protein powders are excellent. But, we sometimes need to use our imagination to mix things up and create new, exciting recipes.
In this article, Rosie Millen – or @missnutritionist – has shared one of her favourite protein smoothie recipes. Packed with 100% plant-based, vegan-friendly, hemp protein goodness!
The Organic Hemp Protein Powder by Honest Hemp powder contains 50% raw hemp protein and is a rich source of natural amino acids. Additionally, it’s wonderfully high in fibre and contains magnesium, iron, potassium, and omega 3.
It has an earthy hemp flavour which makes it perfect for a natural green smoothie!
- One cup of coconut or almond milk
- Half an avocado
- One banana
- One scoop of Honest Hemp Protein Powder
- One tbsp of Matcha Powder
- Squeeze of honey
Pour all of the ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend. Pour in a large glass and enjoy! Simple as that.
