How To Make CBD Coffee

CBD is an incredible thing, and at Honest Hemp, we simply can’t get enough of it. That’s why we are always looking for new and exciting ways to incorporate CBD into our daily routine. In this instance, CBD infused coffee!

Whilst standard CBD oils are great, it’s a lot more fun if you can get your daily CBD dose in different ways – it doesn’t always have to be the same few drops of oil every morning!

Many of us like to enjoy a warm, freshly brewed coffee each morning. So, what if we could combine the two? Adding CBD to your morning coffee is a great way to incorporate CBD into your daily routine without even really thinking about it.

Plus, CBD coffee provides a great way to use CBD oil for those who don’t like the natural taste of hemp because the coffee flavour will overpower it.

How To Make CBD Coffee

In order to make CBD infused coffee, you will need a coffee press or an infuser. You will also need to grind down your coffee beans, or use pre-ground coffee beans. A medium to coarse grind tends to work best when mixing CBD and coffee.

Add 10 grams of coffee per mug to your coffee press or infuser. 10g is usually an ideal amount of ground coffee per cup, but you may choose to add more or less depending on your personal preference.

Add 0.5ml of a 20% strength CBD in MCT oil per mug of coffee. Add CBD to coffee directly in the coffee press or infuser.

*When adding CBD oil to coffee, it’s important to use CBD in MCT because this type of oil carries far less flavour, and therefore won’t disrupt the taste of your coffee.

*Using 0.5ml of a 20% oil will infuse your coffee with 10mg of CBD per mug. Again, you can increase or decrease this amount to suit your personal preference. This is the great thing about making your own CBD coffee – when you use CBD infused coffee pods, you don’t have this same level of dosage control.

Next, pour in 170ml of boiling water per mug of coffee.

If you’re using a coffee press, press down to the bottom and leave it for 5 minutes. If you’re using an infuser, cover the lid and wait for 5 minutes.

You’re done! Feel free to add your choice of milk, sugar, or syrup shots at the end. Then sit back, relax, and enjoy the best CBD oil coffee.

For something a little more interesting, you may want to use a flavoured CBD oil in your coffee. For example, the Honest Hemp CBD oils in MCT come in a peppermint flavour or an orange flavour – both of which can be super tasty in coffee!
